GRANT RECIPIENT SPOTLIGHT – Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre
The Albury Wodonga Equestrian Association is a facility in the heart of Albury, which hosts a range of community groups from local equestrian users, school groups, arts & entertainment groups and events which attract international participants.
Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre was the successful recipient of a grant for $5,000 to install solar lighting in the agistment lots at the Centre .
The cost effective and sustainable lighting will improve safety of the agistees (who are mostly women) tending to their horses in the early morning and late evening.
Board members Allison Bruce and Phil Hartley were taken on a tour of the 96 hectare facility by the hard-working committee of the Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre and were lucky enough to meet a few of the equine residents.
